2 More Reasons I LoVe the Internet

I keep finding more reasons to Love the internet.

Here are a few recipes that I found just clicking around.

Disposable Baby Wipes
Cut a paper towel roll in 1/2 with a bread knife.  You will then have have 2 short rolls.  Put
paper towel roll in a gallon size ziplock bag.

2 cups water
2 Tbsp. Baby Wash
3 Tbsp. BabyOil
Mix together and pour in the center of paper towel roll.

Pore Cleansing Mask

1 Tablespoon Unflavored Gelatin
1 1/2- 2 Tablespoons Milk

Microwave the gelatin and milk for about 10-15 seconds. It will get smoother in the microwave, but, it may be hot!  Stir around and make sure it's not too hot. Then, start applying it  to your face. This stuff hardens up fast so you’ve got to act fast.
Let it dry for about 15+ minutes.
Grab whatever you can and start peeling it off.
A warm shower will dissolve any leftover mask in brows.

Enjoy!

I knew this would happen.....

Hi!!!

I knew this would happen...I started off documenting my daily life, and got bored, or shy about sharing everything.

Some folks are so good at this....

I'm gonna try again.

I really have been up to some fun stuff lately!

I started getting out on the ocean again.

Here's Amy goofing around the harbor.

Annie and I rented some real nice Ocean Kayaks at Channel Islands Kayaks, and had a blast paddling around the harbor.

Then Jim and I went out, and tomorrow we are all going out together!

It's super fun!

The other news is that I finally got my Kitchenaid stand up mixer!  It has the bowl lift, and is absolutely amazing!  You wouldn't believe the stuff I have made!  And it is all turning out perfectly.  Amazing!

I have made bagels,
and, yes, there are a few heart shaped ones.  That's the beauty of making them yourself!  We like small bagels which are 30 to 40 calories each!

And pita bread.
We had these with homemade Hummus last night, and they were yummy!

And hamburger buns.

Rosemary, onion bread.

Oatmeal honey nut bread.

Cinnamon sugar walnut bread.

I will post pics and recipes.

Well thanks for reading, and let me know which recipes you would like first.

I have started summer training with the cats.

Hopefully by the end of summer they will all learn their parts and we can put on a youtube show!

Perhaps I'll take some photos of our training sessions.

Installing Fake Grass... a Tutorial

Today, we installed our fake grass!  I love my fake grass.  It is always green and pretty and I never have to cut it.
Here is a before pic.

The first thing we did is lay down landscape fabric, to battle the weeds.

Then we made a pattern from painters paper and masking tape.

We made sure to label the corners, Shed Right & Left, and House Right and left.

We turned the pattern over in the front yard on top of the grass laid out bottom up.

and cut it out, a couple inches over all the way around, so we could tailor it just right.

We went around and cut around the boxes, and tugged it here and there...

So green and pretty.

My Shasta Daisies grow waist high.

I'll post more pics as they grow.

:)
